Riya Jain, a 3rd-year B.Des student at IIITDM Jabalpur, secured the 3rd Prize at the national level in the Ideas4LIFE initiative organized by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India. Her project, “GREENIVA – Biodegradable Food Container,” focuses on eco-friendly cutlery made from agricultural waste. Selected among 1384 participants from top institutes across India, Riya was felicitated on World Environment Day 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Congratulations to Ms Shivi Tripathi for winning the Best Poster Award in the Ph. D symposium held on the eve of 20th Foundation Day of IIITDM Jabalpur. Ms Tripathi has presented a poster on her research work titled " Composite membranes reinforced with functionalized multiwalled nanotubes for advancing guided bone regeneration". She is currently working as a Ph.D student at Discipline of Mechanical Engineering of this institute and working under the mentorship of Dr. Himansu Sekhar Nanda at Biomaterials and Biomanufacturing Laboratory.

As an initiative under the umbrella of "International Center for Sustainable and Net Zero Technologies" at IIITDM Jabalpur, the collaborative work of Dr. Himansu Sekhar Nanda with IIT Bhubaneswar and Beijing University of Chemical Technology on "Sustainable Battery Design" has been featured in the prestigious Chemical Engineering Journal. Congratulations to the team of researchers for citing such innovative sustainable and high efficient technologies creating for sustainable recycling of spent batteries to avert a looming e-waste crisis. Paper titled "Empowering Tendu Leaf Collectors: Enhancing Awareness and Motivation for Alternate Uses of Tendu Leaf in Central India", (paper ID 1183) authored by Milan Kapoor, Aparna Dutta, Avinash Sahu, Sangeeta Pandit, Ayushi Vats has been awarded as Distinguished Paper Award at the 10th International Conference on Research into Design – ICoRD’25.

Congratulations to Dr. Himansu Sekhar Nanda on receiving the 2025 Certificate of Recognition from the Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs India (SBAOI)! This recognition highlights his outstanding contributions as an Award Committee member, where he has played an instrumental role in selecting the Best Thesis at the Master's and Doctoral levels in the field of Biomaterials and Biomedical Engineering.

Erasmus+ KA171 Project: A New Milestone - Prof. Puneet Tandon has successfully awarded Erasmus+ KA171 Project, approved by the Italian National Agency in collaboration with Prof. Irene Calliari and Prof. Manuele Dabala of the University of Padua, Italy. This prestigious program facilitates learning for Master's students, doctoral researchers, and faculty members and enabling them to engage in cutting-edge research in Advanced/Hybrid Manufacturing at the University of Padua, Italy. Valid from 2024 to 2027, the initiative promises to foster global collaboration and innovation in higher education and research.

Dr. Manu Shrivastava has been shortlisted for the prestigious Erasmus Staff Mobility Program, organized by the University of Thessaly, Greece. Dr. Shrivastava will visit the Department of Forestry, Wood Science, and Design from January 20-24, 2025, for an enriching academic exchange. This opportunity highlights Dr. Shrivastava's expertise and commitment to advancing knowledge in the field.

Team Air Guardians from the AeroFabrication Club - comprising Sankalp, Ritik Jangid, Chetan Anand Jhariya, Sanjay Singh, Rohit TM, Ayush Saksena, Sumit Chouhan, Siddharth Pandey, Shashank Srivastava, and P. Gouri Nandana Krishna - mentored by Prof. Vijay Kumar Gupta, has been honored with the "Best Autonomous UAV" title at the Aerothon 2024 Finals, organized by SAE India.

Team Aerophiles from IIITDM Jabalpur emerged as joint winners at the SIH 2024 Hardware Edition, hosted at NIE Mysuru. Tasked by ITBP, the team developed an innovative Quadplane VTOL UAV capable of carrying a 40 kg payload at altitudes of 9,000–16,000 ft with a 70-minute endurance. Their efforts earned a ₹50,000 cash prize, showcasing the spirit of innovation and excellence at IIITDM Jabalpur.

Paper entitled: "Bootstrap Ensemble Long-Term Recurrent Convolution Network based Anamoly Detection in Video Surveillance" authored by Jatin Yadav ,Divyanshu Sharma & Ayan Seal has been selected for the Best Paper Award "at the 5th International Conference on Frontiers in Computing and Systems,COMSYS-2024"from 13-12-2024 to 15-12-2024.

We are pleased to share that our Ph.D student Ms. Shivi Tripathi has won the 2024 TERMIS-AP Virtual Student Paper Contest – Bronze Award, held on 6-7 December 2024. Ms Shivi Tripathi is currently a doctoral student of Dr. Himansu Sekhar Nanda (IIITDM Jabalpur) and Dr. Harpreet Singh (NIT Jalandhar). She won the award for her paper entitled “Preparation and evaluation of materials properties of solvent casted composite GBR membranes using computational and experimental method".

Congratulations to our M.Tech. student Mr. Utkarsh Mishra, under the supervision of Prof. Aparajita Ojha in CSE discipline, has been awarded the best MTech Thesis at the CICT 2024 conference held at IIIT Allahabad. His thesis, titled "Graph Attention CNN for 3D Mesh Steganography", showcases outstanding research and innovation in the field.

Abhishek Patel, Ph.D. Research Scholar, under the supervision of Dr. M. S. Parihar & Dr. Trivesh Kumar and under the guidance of Dr. Matadeen Bansal, in the ECE department has been selected for the ITU-WTSA 2024, going to be held in New Delhi, India from 14th - 24th October. The ITU-WTSA is a quadrennial event being held for the first time in ITU’s history of 150 years in India, which will be attended by world leaders and experts from the Telecom field from 190+ countries.

Paper entitled: "High Selectivity Filter Integrated Antenna for UWB Application " presented by Dr. Manoj Singh Parihar and authored by Jolly H Kindo & Manoj Singh Parihar has been selected for the Best Paper Award in "The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers 67th ANNUAL IETE CONVENTION (AIC)" held in Bhopal from14 th -15 th September 2024 on the theme "EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES AND APPLICATIONS USING AI".

Dr. Manoj Singh Parihar, faculty of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been awarded "IETE- Smt. 𝐏𝐮𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐧 has been awarded the prestigious 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐯 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐤 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐍𝐌𝐒𝐓𝐔), an Educational Institution of Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation due to his and his group’s pioneering work in the domain of hybrid metal forming along with the scientists and professors of NMSTU, basically the group led by Prof. Alexander Pesin.

Congratulations to Dr. Himansu Sekhar Nanda, IIITDM Jabalpur for receiving the best poster award in the well- established 24th International conference on "Surfactants in Solution (SIS)" held in India BITS pilani K K Birla Goa campus in association with IISER Pune and UDCT Mumbai. The conference, first started in 1976 at New York, explores specifically the role of surfactants in solution. The abstract titled "Role of surfactants on PLA/HA microspheres size and implications for azithromycin release."authored by Shivi Tripathi, Harpreet Singh and Himansu Sekhar Nanda secured 2nd position in poster category, during 16-20 June 2024.

Congratulations to Dr. Himansu Sekhar Nanda, Principal Investigator, Biomaterials and Biomanufacturing Laboratory for being listed among 2024 Emerging Investigators of Journal of Materials Chemistry B by Royal Society of Chemistry, UK and the paper titled "Design and Development of 3D Printed Shape Memory Triphasic Polymer-Ceramic Bioactive Scaffolds for Bone Tissue Engineering" published by him in JMCB is one among the articles of Themed collection "2024 Emerging Investigators of Journal of Materials Chemistry B".

Chetan (22bme021), Broteen (22bsm014), Charan (22bcs132), Sanjay (22bme050), Visishta (22bcs129) of the AeroFabrication Club secured Second Place in the prestigious SKY MANEUVER event at Cognizance, IIT Roorkee's Techfest during March 15-17, 2024.

Rudresh Singh (21bme043), Sankalp (22bme051), and Narayan Singh (22bme042) of the 'Air Guardians' team won the First Prize at the Autodesk Drone Design Challenge 2024 held at IIT Kanpur!
